Hi, I am the obstacle ninja, and I'm not an OCR athlete.

Obstacle race

I'm working at a desk all day, and there was a time when I used to clock 70 hours per week, and I was mostly eating junk food. Like many of my peers, I felt stressed, anxious, unhappy, not passionate, not in control of my life, and very much overweight.

Then I became the father of 2 amazing kids who are full of energy, and I realize that I was investing too much time into my job. But, I wanted to be more present for my kids.

The problem was my lack of energy.

Being a father had made me realize that I needed to be in good health if I wanted to live long enough to see my kids graduate, get married, or even for me to become a grandfather. I also wanted to become a positive example for my kid by eating healthy food and exercises daily.

Do you also want to become an active person, more fit, a more confident version of yourself?

Would you like to get rid of stress, and feel more passionate, more alive, more in control?

I know I did, so I tried everything, from joining my local CrossFit gym to commute whenever I could with my bicycle. I even begin jogging once a week, bringing my kids along with a double jogging stroller. But nothing seems to work until...

One day, a group of colleague decides to participate in an obstacle race, as a team building activity.

They invite me, but I refuse, pretexting of being too much out of shape. However, the week before the event, someone from the team couldn't make it, and they ask if I was available. They were really desperate to find a replacement, and I couldn't let them down.

On that day, I truly connected with my friends while we motivate each other to continue until the finish line. Everyone was having fun and laughing, even if the course was daunting. After the race, my kids were waiting for me at the finish line, and I was so touched by how proud they were. I felt like I did something extraordinary on that day.

What extraordinary about that day is the fire that ignited in my belly. I felt different, I felt better, I felt like the person I always wanted to become. Since that particular day, I had complete more than 50 obstacle races.
